The Bath House is a PRIME collective project/residency/exhibition space situated next to the Templemore Avenue Public Baths on 4 Glenmore Street, East Belfast. This domestic space was once the Templemore Avenue Bath’s caretaker’s residence, but now functions as a project space for the collective in which they host exhibitions, workshops, screenings, talks, peer reviews, meetings and other events, and run a residency programme that has accommodated various artists, curators and creative professionals.
The Bath House is used as a short term and long term residency space. It has accommodated curator Jussi Koitela (FI), curator Anja Lückenkemper (DE), curator Francesco Buonerba (IT), and artist Ciara McKeon (IE), and has been used for a longer term residency by artist Mitch Conlon (IE) and archivist Max Surin (RU).
Recent projects and workshops held there include a PRIME Peer Review with Dave Loder and Jacqueline Holt, and the Wish You Were Here workshops and exhibition, in partnership with Belfast Exposed and funded by Belfast City Council and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
